Students' Council

BNCA recognizes students as its major power and also continued its focus on the students' needs. It has strengthened its faculty and administrative teams and emerged as a leading institution.BNCA believes that "Life is not only larger than Architecture or Interior Design but above all other disciplines of education put together." Our mission is to produce good Architects, with a complete personality who can do justice to all aspects of life, besides developing into good human beings. As part of this mission BNCA encourages student leadership and promote student collaborations.

Academic Committee compromises of all class representatives and student general secretary. This committee assists academic administration. This committee also assist on mediating teachings policies.

Architectural Competitions committee is headed by Tejashree Natu, a fourth year student known for her creative approach in design. This committee is responsible for all the architectural competitions that the students of this college participate in. Then let it be a tile design competition or a tree house design competition. This committee has to see to it that all students are given a fair chance to participate in all such competitions and are provided with all the help necessary from the faculty to help them succeed.

Cultural Committee is the centre of attraction in the whole college. Headed by Sneha Devale, the leading actress of our college currently in the fourth year seems to be doing a fine job at encouraging the students to develop their talents. This committee takes care of the singing, dancing and drama activities of the college. Under this committee the students get a chance to break free from their work loads and enjoy at building their talents and putting it to some use.. Our very own college band is a hit at every year Fresher's party and our annual gathering. This committee is famous amongst all.

Events Committee is headed by Kranti Jamdar our unit secretary of NASA for the year 2008-09. This committee is entitled to manage the various events that the college organises throughout the year. These events include lecture series by eminent Architects like B. V. Doshi, Charles Correa and many others. It helps in managing the events like Constro and other Architectural events.

Hospitality Committee is entitled to manage the hospitality part of various academic and cultural events of BNCA. This committee assist in stage management, and guest welcome etc.

Hostel Committee communicates on and off campus housing and related news, concerns and programs to the BNCA administrators. This committee also assist in smooth transition for new comers of BNCA.

NASA Committee is headed by Sheya Jain. This committee is further details into sub committees of various NASA trophies such as G-Sen, Louis Kahn, Le Corbusier, HUDCO and cultural etc. This committee promotes interclass, and inter institute collaborations. This committee also promote leadership qualities and promotes self exploration and exposure to various profession of architecture and allied fields.

Publication Committee is headed by Ankita Kolmakar. This committee encourages stdeunts to come up with articles, drawings, pictures, and sketches etc. In this current academic year BNCA is going to publish its annual magazine named 'Grafficon'. This committee had published NASA magazine last year.

Sports Committee is filled with all sports enthusiast this committee is headed by Sayli Kale, a third year student well equipped with the skills of playing basketball. This committee helps in the organisation of the annual inter collegiate sports meet held in the beginning of the month of January. Members of this committee are sports persons of various backgrounds, state, national and university players of the college bear the responsibilities of the sports activities of the entire college.

Student Support Committee promotes interclass and interdepartmental dialogue, cooperation, collaboration and communication. This committee also plans and promotes new comer student assistant programs. This committee also act as student councillors.

Study Tour Committee headed is by our young and vibrant third year student Anisha Patel, this committee works towards organising national and international tours for the college. This year the international tour to Spain and Portugal was one of the best organised trips ever. Along with the international trips there are small trips organised to ensure vertical interaction between students. Our college aims at developing the bond between students not only in the classrooms on architectural backgrounds but also amidst the nature while having fun. The students are always looking forward to these trips organised by this committee as they have a history of success.

Website Committee comprises of enthusiastic and sincere group of students. This committee have core group of second year students of B. Arch. namely Amulya Bhat, Shamika Phadke and Priyam Kudale. This committee is assisting in content writing, and coordination. This committee eventually will expand in coordinating, uploading the content on website.
