Dr. Avanti Bambawale , secured second rank in Savitribai Phule Pune University from B.N.C.A. achieving first class with distinction at undergraduate level (B.Arch.) in 2002 and post graduate level from College of Engineering Pune in 2006. She achieved “J.V. Gandhe Award” for topping second in B.Arch. from Pune University. She is gold medalist who topped among thirteen IITians in Master’s Thesis competition and secured “Dr. V. N. Prasad Best Thesis Award” at National Level in 2006. She secured merit in all universities throughout her academic career and is known for becoming youngest Ph.D. holder in Architecture from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2016. She has academic experience for more the fifteen years and is presently working as Associate Professor in B.N.C.A. She has presented research papers in international conferences and published more than twenty research papers in national and international journals. She has expertise in Research Tools and Techniques and published book on “Research in Architecture: Inculcating an Adaptive Pedagogy” in 2022. In 2023 she along with Dr. Anurag Kashyap, Principal, B.N.C.A. has published a book on “Sidewalks and Measuring Walkability: For Pedestrian Infrastructure Planning of Urban Streets”. Recently she has presented a research paper in National Convention on People Centric Urban Governance organized by Centre for Urban Studies and Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi. In 2024 she has also published four research papers in “UGC approved journals- Nagarlok and Journal of Institute of Town Planning, India” to name two of them. In extra-curricular field of Art, she has received “Silver Medal – Rani Laxmibai Kala Award” in National Online Art Exhibition and Competition. In February 2023, she has participated and displayed Warli Art work in “PARMITA” a Group Art exhibition organized by Manikarnika Art Gallery, Jhansi at Rajendra Kala Bhavan, New Delhi and inaugurated by Padmashri Prof. Shri Biman Das, Director of Fine Arts ,AIFACS, New Delhi.
