BNCA in collaboration with URVEE Public Trust undertakes a four fold program namely – URVEE GAAV BHRAMAN, URVEE SETU, URVEE JAGRUTI, URVEE ANUBHAV. The program intends to document and study vernacular architecture and rural settlement. The objective is to initiate a dialogue between the Institute and its nearby Villages for sensitive development through community interaction and engagement.
40 students from FY.A BNCA alongwith 4 BNCA faculty and 2 URVEE representatives visited Bori Budruk for 4 days. The program included mapping the village for its spatial arrangements, movement pattern, vegetation / farmland and public buildings , religious places, etc. The students documented various types of architectural typologies where students interacted with the villagers and mapped their cultural and traditional beliefs.
All the study and analysis about the architecture and spatial arrangements in Bori were displayed in the college in the form of models and sheets. Representatives from the village and Urvee Public trust appreciated the effort of documenting the houses to create a repository of heritage in Bori.
