Functioning:
As Architecture is a very subjective and specific field, with companies opting to hire one / two Fresh graduates as per the available vacancies at their office (timeline for which is very dynamic), we cannot conduct a Campus Placement Drive at a specific time. Instead, for over the last 10 years, we have worked on the “right person for the right job” ideology. So basically, it works in two ways, when the college knows of a certain vacancy, then we recommend the best student for the same, as per the job requirement. The other way is, we have created a database of firms, category wise, city wise and then we share the same with each of the 160 Students of the graduating batch. The students then apply to the firm of their choice, put in references of their faculty members or guides and move ahead in the process. Some of these students are opting to take a break after graduation to find their liking or many of them move ahead to do their master’s as well. As an institute, we provide them with guidance and support them in these aspects as well.
INTERNSHIPS:
Internships are an integral component of the architectural curriculum, providing students with invaluable real-world experience and insight into the industry. At our college, we prioritize assisting students in securing internships with reputable architectural firms, both domestically and internationally. Our support system ensures that students have access to resources and guidance throughout the internship-seeking process. Many of our students have had the opportunity to intern with renowned firms known for their expertise and innovation in the field. These internships not only expose students to diverse architectural practices but also allow them to contribute meaningfully to real projects under the mentorship of seasoned professionals. Moreover, our commitment to global engagement has enabled students to pursue internships abroad, enriching their understanding of international architectural practices and perspectives. Through these experiences, students gain valuable skills, expand their professional networks, and lay the foundation for successful careers in architecture.
By initiating the internship search early, students demonstrate their readiness to engage themselves in the architectural industry, engage with potential employers, and secure meaningful opportunities that align with their interests and career goals.
PLACEMENTS:
At BNCA, we believe in empowering our students to not only excel as architects but also to become leaders and entrepreneurs in the field. While internships provide invaluable firsthand experience of the profession, we encourage our students to think beyond traditional employment and consider opportunities for entrepreneurship. Our curriculum and support systems are designed to instill an entrepreneurial mindset, fostering creativity, innovation, and business acumen among our students. We actively encourage them to explore entrepreneurial ventures, whether it’s starting their own architectural firm, launching innovative design projects, or engaging in collaborative initiatives with peers. To support their entrepreneurial endeavors, our placement cell not only organizes placement drives for students and alumni but also provides resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities tailored to budding entrepreneurs. Ultimately, our vision is to see our students not just as employees but as pioneers who shape the future of architecture through their entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, and creative vision.
