Ever increasing and varying requirements of different types of built environment has led to development and advancement of technology and materials. Architects, worldwide, have harnessed the technological and computational advancements to create iconic structures. It is evident that understanding of structural systems, current trends in technology, knowledge of software, efficient selection and use of materials are imperative for architects to create efficient buildings and landmark structures.
The Structures Cell at BNCA is formed with an objective to develop and propagate structural understanding along with latest technical advancements among students. This objective is achieved through industry partnerships, experiential learning through software and hands on workshops, along with research activities, in and out of the classrooms. The cell works in synergy with archineering cell and other cells of BNCA.
