Prof Smita Ogale, a graduate of BKPS college of Architecture, Pune of 1996 batch, has been in the architectural profession since graduation and in this journey, has worked with Ar. Sandhya Nivsarkar, Ar. Pushkar Kanvinde and Ar. Prakash Deshmukh on residential and institutional projects, most prominent being the projects in Magarpatta City. She was into freelancing from 2009 to 2013.
In 2013, she embarked on a new journey; that of Masters in Digital Architecture at BNCA and has been teaching at BNCA since 2017 to date. She takes the subjects of Architectural Design and Advanced Building Technology and Services for fourth year B. Arch students. She has also taught History of Architecture at second and third year level.
She has recently conducted a session on Parametric modelling in a Council of Architecture Teachers Training Program on “Art in Architecture : An interdisciplinary Perspective and its Application in Architectural design” co hosted by BNCA. She is a Team Member of the Urban Design studio team for 4th year that has had students winning the first place at the prestigious PCERF Awards twice and the Transparence Award. Her thesis student is a recepient of the prestigious A3F Award.
She is currently the Co ordinator of division A at BNCA and is also the BNCA Publication Cell Head.
