About

Sudhanva has been associated with Dr. Bhanuben College of Architecture since 1995. He has taught various subjects to the undergraduate students in several colleges. He has been invited as a jury member on different forums and has presented papers at several seminars and meets. He has been a pioneer in the field of ‘Teaching with innovative teaching methodologies’. He has developed several teaching techniques that include making and using physical models, computer animations, films etc. to explain structural and other concepts in architecture.
Sudhanva is a practicing architect with an experience of thirty years. His has worked on prestigious projects for companies such as Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Maharashtra Institute of Mental Health, National Chemical Laboratories, Deccan Gymkhana Club, Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha just to name a few. His practical knowledge has helped many students to understand the on-field knowledge beyond classroom learning.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE-

Sudhanva is  one of the pioneers in the field of Computer Based Teaching and Innovative Teaching Methodology. He has proficiency in most of the computer applications related to architectural design and visualization such as AutoCAD, 3d Studio, Blender, Sketchup etc. He has written many programs in AutoCAD using AutoLisp to make AutoCAD a more powerful tool. He is a passionate product designer. He has designed several products that incorporate a varied knowledge in designing, prototyping, electronics, programming etc. He has proficiency in working with wood, leather, metal, clay etc. along with knowledge of electronics and computer programming. His hands on experience with these materials and technologies has enhanced his repertoire as a teacher. He is also a fine singer and a guitarist. He is a part of a band “Who Cares” for more than 30 years that play Rock music and Bollywood music.
Sudhanva Kolhatkar is an Associate Professor at Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture (BNCA), Pune, India. In the past he has also headed the Computer Aided Interior design course as a course coordinator at BNCA. He has a bachelors degree from Pune University (presently Savitribai Phule Pune University) and has a Masters degree in Environmental Architecture from Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. He is a member of Architects, Engineers and Surveyors Association (AESA) and has been a Executive Committee member of AESA.
