The National Innovation and Start-up Policy 2019 intends to guide HEIs to promote student driven innovations & start-ups and to engage the students and faculty in innovation and start up activities in campus. India has more than 41435 HEIs with annual enrolment of 28484746 students. It is very important to achieve excellence in both quantitative and qualitative growth of education system by making it globally relevant, competitive and industry fit a simultaneously focusing on self-employment through sheer emphasis on innovation, skills and entrepreneurship among students and faculty.

The recent trend in global education of architecture does not confine the students to traditional approach, it encourages them to use their unique skill-sets and abilities in entrepreneurial ways. India in recent years has become a hotbed for startups and this has given rise to a plethora of companies. The country has steadily grown in its ease-of-doing-business. The architecture and construction industry is not far behind. In recent years, there are a few architecture startups that have offered not just out-of-the-box ideas but services that have robust commercial demand.

At BNCA, we intend to inculcate innovative thinking in and provide them with environment to start-up their own practice. At our Start-up and Innovation cell, we intend to invite mentors to encourage the right participation of industry partners for ideas which can be converted to business.
